Why is a French Bulldog so expensive to purchase and maintain?

These are some of the costs associated with a Frenchie that the Breeder incurs:
*Progesterone test $50-100 (may need to do more than one per breeding)
*Vitamin supplements $100
*Shipping semen $200-500
*Male stud fee $1000-10000
*Insemination $100-500
*Ultrasound or Xray $50-100
*C Section $1200-2000
*Whelping litter $300-500
*Supplies $200-500
*Puppy food $100-300
 
Expenses the Owner incurs for the lifetime of the Frenchie:
*Pet insurance $45-75 per dog average. Nationwide requires a $600 deposit for multiple dogs when I checked.
*Veterinarian checkup visits $100-500
*Emergency Vet visit add after hours charge of $75-150 on top of the services rendered.
*Lab tests can run from $35-150.
*Prescription medications for routine issues $30-500.
*Supplements $50-300.
*Neuter or Spay $150-xxx
*Premium dog food (Lisa suggests Victor, Blue Naturals or Fromm). $45 for 20 pound bag
*Premium dog treats $25 per bag.
*Licensing your Frenchie if you live in the city $20 per dog.
*Sturdy dog beds $50-200
*Premium tear resistant harnesses and leashes are $40 for a harness and $25 for a leash.
